Megan Allaway

Megan began weaving as a hobby in 2020 and has been captivated ever since. It provides her with a personal creative outlet. She describes frame loom weaving as “something you can pick up and put down instantly, with a soothing rhythm in the slow, repetitive movements.”
She likes to think of her weavings as "soft, textured posters for the wall” — pieces that absorb sound, invite touch, and infuse colour into any space.
Megans woven interpretations of abstract paintings constantly inspire her work. The tactile quality of the wool and the layering of threads bring the artwork to life in a way that only weaving can, inviting closer inspection and interaction.
