ARTIST
Alison Cook is an Essex-based artist whose practice explores our connection to the natural world and the cycles of growth, transformation, dormancy and renewal. Inspired by the overlooked details and organic forms found in nature, Alison creates richly layered paintings using painting, collage and found materials. Her work explores themes of fragility, change and vulnerability, reflecting the shifting relationship between nature and the human experience.
Alison gained her MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2024, following a degree in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design and a 20-year career creating visual concepts for premium fashion brands. Since graduating from the RCA, she has exhibited across London and Essex and has taken part in workshops and community art programmes throughout the South East.
