Born in Sardinia and now based in York, Pietro Sanna has long been passionate about art in all its forms. While studying Contemporary 3D Craft at York College, he began to focus on ceramics, exploring its versatility and expressive potential.

Pietro creates hand-built and slip-cast vessels that serve as carriers for diverse narratives. His coil-built works embrace asymmetry and layered abstraction, while slip-cast multiples explore the interplay of form, colour, and deconstruction.

He also extends his practice into fine art, using ceramic surfaces and vessels as a canvas to explore painting and three-dimensional space.
