ARTIST
Eugenia Alekseyev is an award-winning professional artist and art educator based in North London. Her work is closely connected to the landscapes and streets of London, particularly Hampstead and Highgate, where she paints regularly. Her paintings have been acquired for the collections of Burgh House and Keats House in Hampstead.
Working primarily in oils, Eugenia prefers to paint en plein air, responding directly to the atmosphere of a place — “smells, wind, rain, sounds – they all affect me”. Through expressive brushwork, rich impasto and colour, she seeks to capture the changing light, weather and immediacy of a fleeting moment. Some works are later developed further in her North London studio.
Eugenia began her artistic training at a young age and later studied at the Art Students League of New York. Her work has received numerous awards in the UK and internationally and is held in private collections worldwide.
